Chloé was born on 27 October 2010 with biliary atresia.

On 13 March 2013, Chloé’s mother Jenny, donated 25% of her liver to her daughter in South Africa’s first successfull living donor liver transplant ever.

This blog serves as a record of the fight to get Chloé healthy and well. And also, as part of her history which she will be able to look back on when she’s bigger – a part that she might not remember when she’s all grown up.

Her parents opened a bank account for her to cover the excessive medical costs incurred – costs that the medical aid (medical insurance) does not cover.

All donations received and expenses covered are kept on record.
